Still so lovely in the setting-sun shadow of Round Top, Gaia watches a nearby band.
Two days of wind and more than our allotted share of sunshine means that our lovely snow is melting. We’re watching the forecast and hoping for more snow before the old year ends.
Early Christmas morning, we had a faint little sundog keeping company with the rising sun, just above Temple Butte.
May all the magic of this season flow from our hearts to yours on this day of blessings and great hope for the world.

The longest night of the year is past, and now days will get longer and longer – though maybe not warmer and warmer for at least another little while yet. 🙂

Pretty pinto boy Maiku is warm in his velvet winter coat in a land of brown and white and blue.
We still have snow. It’s still cold. This is good. 🙂
On a zippy trip into the basin before sunset, I couldn’t find any cooperative ponies to photograph, though I saw several. McKenna Peak, however, posed nicely below clearing clouds. If we got any new snow, it was light, but thanks to cold temperatures, we still have a couple of inches of the good white stuff!
