Mysterium

Mysterium in the cedars.

By reader request: Pretty girl Mysterium. She’ll be 2 next month. Looking more gorgeous all the time. 🙂

Kestrel and Comanche

Kestrel and Comanche in the last hint of late light. Golden girl and handsome light mister.

Girls on the move

Shadow, Tesora and Puzzle

Not a storm in the blue background but a far, forested ridge. The blue storm skies have been descending every day, bringing rain every night since Monday.

Whatever dances ya’ll are doing, you’re rockin’ ’em! The rain is such a relief.

Dark skies coming

Grey and Houdini in storm light against Brumley Point.

Grey/Traveler and Houdini watch Hollywood’s and Comanche’s bands with a hint of storm on the horizon.

We got rain. It left puddles. If we get much more of this stuff, it might lead to the filling of ponds. 🙂

Hers & hers

17 07 2013

Temple and her mama, Piedra.

She’s her mama, and she’s her daughter. Piedra and Temple.

His & hers

Hollywood and Shane with Shane's mama, Mona, in the background.

She is his, and in the background is her mama.

Miss Shane will be 3 in September. For perspective, Mister Hollywood is not the tallest boy in the basin. 🙂

Do you see me?

Hayden

Yes, handsome Hayden, all eyes are on you!

This young mister has filled out a lot this year. He’ll be 4 in September. He’s a stout little hunky red boy!

Dashing dun …

… in black and white:

Hollywood

Comanche’s antics made Hollywood’s mane stand on end! It was OK in color, but I really liked him like this.

Standing guard

Seven with his mares Shadow and Puzzle and Shadow's daughter, Tesora.

Seven and his girls stand over their baby girl, Tesora, while she naps during a hot afternoon in Spring Creek Basin.

Signs of rain are on the horizon – literally. But we need a bit of a direct hit. I think I can speak for the ponies when I say we’re ready already.

Ghost

Apollo

An accident of camera settings resulted in this image of Apollo and Hayden that I decided I liked. It can represent just about anything you want it to. Clearly a horse. Clearly a horse in motion. Sometimes, that’s enough.
