Skywalker made the day of dear friend Pat Amthor, his namer and No. 1 fan, by strolling into view during a recent visit to Disappointment Valley. 🙂

Chrome trots out to head off an interloper. The perceived intruder was pretty far away (to human eyes), but he ended up even farther away before Chrome was done with him. 🙂

What a mud ball! As dry as it is, it’s good to know the horses are finding mud – along with water. 🙂

As hot and dry as it has been, the basin still has a faint glamour of green across its hills and arroyos. We’re ready for monsoons. Even a dash of moisture will tide us over till those welcome afternoon rains arrive.
