Something beautiful this way comes.
Kwana and “auntie” Winona, walking into sunset (on their way to water).
Double the beauty.
Happy Halloween, folks!

Handsome Hollywood was just featured in a post, but he’s just so photogenic!
Bounce was hanging out with the bands, and Holls was turning back after chasing him away.
What if we threw out everything we thought we new about the Earth and the moon, the universe, the galaxy, the tides and turns of season.
What if it was angels – just angels – lifting the moon into the sky. Raising it – and our hopes and prayers – and lifting those we hope and pray for.
What if miracles happen?
Such beauty in the world.
What if we could hold onto it always?
These beauties are in Storm’s band:
Red Roja, red Gaia and dark Cassidy Rain. Watchful girls in the wind.
In other news, happy birthday, Mom! Love you!
Another dark girl (but she won’t stay dark forever!):
Doesn’t she have the best expressions?
See how fuzzy? We’re supposed to have a good winter (“good” meaning lots of snow (which means summer water)). It looks like the ponies are ready!
Temple and her lovely mama, Piedra. How big the little girl is! And fuzzy, fuzzy!
This happened a little while ago:
Aurora has hooked up with Hollywood and his band.
She’s the daughter of Alegre and Bounce, and most recently was with her mother, little sister, big sister and niece in Traveler’s band. Little girl growing up.
What, you thought this would be a post about Colorado’s colorful trees?
Aspen and Seven were hanging out with Traveler’s band.
Spring Creek Basin boasts a few cottonwoods in various locations, but it’s too low (elevation) for aspen. The cottonwoods along Disappointment Creek are blazing. Some are past peak now, but they’re gorgeous!
This bay beauty was such a joy to visit the other night.
Liberty lives in Ridgway with her adopter, Alice, who couldn’t love her any more! You all read about Alice and her joint art show with Karen Keene Day here.
They are well-matched.
Liberty was born May 25, Memorial Day.
She was named Liberty by my dad, a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Alice calls her Libby for short. 🙂
Isn’t she lovely? I couldn’t get over how she has filled out.
No white markings at all, she’s “another bay mustang.” But what a beautiful presence!
But here is the true beauty: Alice and Liberty.
Such a feeling of peace and contentment at Alice’s place (she has several other horses, some llamas and kitty cats!). Liberty has her forever home – in Alice’s heart.
Love.
