Raven was giving me a devil of a time trying to catch her in a good pose (not eating, butt turned toward me or walking away). Finally, I caught this shot of her looking over a bandmate’s rump. Gotcha. 🙂

Storm has a spring in his step and a lilt to his tail as he walks back to his band from his chat with Sundance.

Cassidy Rain is a stunner, especially when she’s posing so prettily.
She was watching a lone pronghorn buck in the distance and was focused intently on it as it surveyed her band and others in the area.

Sometimes, the glitter IS pure gold.

Merry Christmas!
Best wishes for a beautiful holiday to readers and supporters of our Spring Creek Basin mustangs. 🙂

Storm and Sundance have a little meeting with their bands at safe distances. They sniffed each other; they sniffed their stud pile. There was some squealing and more mane tossing than the girls ever do. … And they went their separate ways.
Ah, boys. 🙂
Merry Christmas Eve!

Completely at his leisure, Hayden watches me while I admire him. 🙂

Storm also has been to the Spring Creek Basin hairdresser, apparently. 🙂

Yes, we groom our mustangs before their model photo jams.
🙂
OK, OK. No we don’t. Mariah’s just gorgeous that way. 🙂
Happy winter solstice!

Sunset made silhouettes of the horses against ridges very far away, outside Spring Creek Basin. Peaceful grazers, doin’ what wild ones do.

Happy birthday to dedicated mustang advocate Kat Wilder! 🙂
