The first morning of 2026 brought light “rain” to Disappointment Valley (which includes Spring Creek Basin)! We reveled in the damp conditions and are looking forward to more (according to the forecast).
A hopefully auspicious start to 2026 – as was seeing Buckeye’s band!

I wish for all of you many happy explorations of wild places and beautiful moments of natural beauty and peace … lots of peace. And for Spring Creek Basin (and all of Southwest Colorado), snow and rain – any good moisture Mother Nature wants to bestow upon us. 🙂
