I was out with another BLM person this particular day last week, doing something kinda (really) cool (more on that next week), and we were just above to leave when I saw a group of horses (there are about three bands) walking along a ridge between us and McKenna Peak and Temple Butte. Hopefully, I’ll never pass up the chance to get that pic: wild ponies in a big, wild land.
I love this photo, TJ. All those colorful mustangs in a line on the ridge and all that big scenery behind them. The heart and soul of Spring Creek Basin.
“The heart and soul of Spring Creek Basin.” Couldn’t have said it better myself, Sue. π
Cool pic! Headed to water?
Possibly (probably?). They were headed in the direction of Spring Creek canyon, though they’d been a lot closer earlier. They had some hangers-on, though, which might have caused them to take a bit of a detour. π
What a cool picture! A parade of wild horses! Love it!
