Are the holidays over yet?

2 01 2023

Who else is experiencing holiday-season weariness? πŸ™‚

Or maybe it was just a little shut-eye on a beautiful morning after a couple of inches of fresh snow! Buckeye wasn’t in the least interested in me hiking out to see how he and his band were doing. Snoozing was the order of the morning!

I love the holidays; really, I do! But endless ads and emails and sales and offers and ETCETERA – the commercialization – is endlessly wearying. πŸ™‚ Take a lesson from Buckeye, and take a little nap. You’ll feel better for it!

What a beautiful snow scene, TJ! And handsome Buckeye is the cherry on top. Glad you got some more of this snow too!

Sorry for the three-peat. Tablet problems! Of course it’s not the operator. 😁

Ha! No worries! πŸ™‚ Maybe a nap is in order … ! πŸ™‚ Snowing this morning after a day of rain almost all of yesterday. I love the moisture, but the mud does make mobility a challenge. I’d rather have some temporary issues than great(er?!) worry in the spring and summer. πŸ™‚ Buckeye is so funny. He’s a great stallion in the making.

I agree! We all could use a nap!

Naps are the best! πŸ™‚ Mostly, I forget and/or am too busy, but ahhh … when I do think of it – and better yet, follow through!

We got a dusting here, although my joints and headache yesterday (confirmed by the barometer I looked at to gauge whether I was ‘coming down with something’ or feeling the fluctuation of Mother nature πŸ˜€ ) – but as to your point? Me?

I noticed this both non-profit AND for-profit fronts, much more this year – and rather surprised after the ‘post Black Friday/Cyber Monday” days, given national news on sales being up 3%- me?

Well, slowly but surely, by folks who work off real data? As they truck out their dry, real reports?

What I noticed is more than just staff/workers taking advantage of automation tools – me thinks – but…sigh – I got other things to do that I’m actually better equipped to ‘do’ without carving out time for ever more education – I doubt, truly, in my haphazard way? I will know for sure – until June/July, on hard numbers/compiled reports by those who don’t have a ‘dog in the hunt’ other than their hunt for truths –

And, well, I’m planning for the worst, hoping for the best – but meantime……Moisture! And I am feeling blessed, here! Not as dry as last year, around this time! and insulating blanket laid around here, where it is needed most!

Moisture is the best. πŸ™‚ I think we’re a little bit ahead in the snow department so far this winter, too.

I’ve been over them since Thanksgiving. πŸ˜€ But it snowed, a whole inch.

Ha – well said! So great about your snow (and it beats the half-inch at my elevation)! This is something you might be interested in (if you don’t already know about it) – and for anyone reading the blog (and comments): Have you heard about CoCoRaHS? https://www.cocorahs.org/
It’s an all-volunteer moisture-measurement online network. Can get a bit depressing when the 0s come day after day after week, but I’ve been doing it for a few years now. It’s very satisfying when you DO record moisture!

Thank you! That is very cool.
