More pronghorns have visible recently. I love to see these fleet-footed “speed goats.”

Even in “slow gear,” they outdistance anything else out there! They’re amazing. 🙂

And they’re one animal out here that aren’t hunted! (Not here … though I think they are in your area?)

There aren’t “enough” to hunt here, which makes me happy every time I see them. But they still don’t like to allow people or vehicles very close. Interestingly, I see them acting as sentinels for the horses, who seem interested but don’t act on their “barks” of alarm. THEY know I pose no danger. 🙂

With their defined color stripes, erect head and regal crown, they look like Greek statues.

Or creatures of another era. 🙂

They certainly are a joy to see out there…however briefly it may be as they blaze by at a cool 60 mph! You have to look quick, but it’s such a wonderful experience. Love those guys!
