Piedra and Kestrel are nearly synchronized in their steps. Interesting how that happens.

Lovely Mariah is ready for whatever winter throws at us this year. It’s supposed to be another bad one for our part of Colorado (“warmer and drier”), but the mustangs will take it in stride. At least our ponds are full!

Thank you, veterans, for your commitment and your service in support of the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
From the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:
Veterans Day continues to be observed on November 11, regardless of what day of the week on which it falls. The restoration of the observance of Veterans Day to November 11 not only preserves the historical significance of the date, but helps focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Mysterium’s mane is growing out enough that while it’s not lying flat, it’s not straight up like a mohawk anymore … a fact that seems to be contradicted by the above pic! Wind is sometimes hard to convey in a static image, but there you have it.
In some cases, wind precedes “weather,” and “weather,” for us, hopefully, sometimes conveys at least a little moisture. We *always* need it.

How is it that such amazing creatures think they can hide behind something as insubstantial as a dead pinon? Maybe they don’t think much of humans’ vision. I fancy I have a very highly advanced idea of humans’ vision, given what’s very often in my field of vision! 🙂

Those horses, with that background, let me know I’m home. Winona and Mariah; McKenna Peak and Temple Butte. 🙂
