Merlin couldn’t identify the teeny little bird, but it might be some kind of sparrow (if you know, let me know!). It’s standing at the top of the “critter ladder” at the end of a water-catchment trough. It first looked at the water from the other end of the trough, then across from the horses, then fluttered over to this end and disappeared. Although I couldn’t see it from my distance away, I knew it was getting to the water level from the specifically placed critter ladder (it’s really more like a ramp with a sort of mesh over it for little toes to grip).
Is that awesome, or is that awesome?! 🙂

That is so cool – water for everybody! That birdie could be a female finch, TJ. Maybe a House Finch or similar species. Those water catchments are so important – for more than just our ponies!
Ah … a *finch*! Do they make a pretty little trilling (?) call? I tried to get Merlin to ID them by their song probably around a week ago, but it couldn’t pick up their song over the wind that evening. Thanks for the closer ID! … And yes! The water catchments are SO important for a variety of beings!
