Storms don’t last long here; rain showers don’t linger. The sky clears quickly.
Usually.
The above is the eastern horizon beyond Spring Creek Basin from not very far below the western rimrock boundary as the last storm (Tuesday morning) cleared. The rain was in the morning; the pic is from early afternoon.
Wowza.
Mustangs were grazing below me, but I couldn’t get them in the view until Buckeye had a chat with Maiku.

Beautiful cloud formations, TJ! ” Wowza” is the word. And Mr. Buckeye looks serious! Maiku must have overstepped a bit. 😁
He kinda did. Ha. Buckeye and his band were napping toward the bottom of the hill when Maiku marched over. Buckeye came out of his nap and answered the challenge. I’m not sure what Maiku saw (in fact, I was initially trying to get pix of Maiku with the light in the background) that made him walk all the way over, but that’s why behavior is endlessly fascinating! 🙂
Beautiful picture! Great looking dude!
Every time I thought the light on McKenna Peak and Temple Butte was good, it got BETTER! 🙂 Amazing view. … And Buckeye, too. 😉
Buckeye is so handsome!
He reminds me so much of Grey. 🙂
Definitely!
He’s so beautiful. And the landscape? Wowza is right.
He and it never fail to amaze me. 🙂
