Just … beauty.
For a period of time while I was with Maia and Houdini and their band, the world of Spring Creek Basin was completely, totally, absolutely still and silent – but for the movements of the horses. No birds. No planes. No wind. The silence was NOTICEABLE.
Then the wind picked up and the horses were browsing and moving and watching bachelors, and all was, well, normal. π And absolutely, totally, completely, utterly … gorgeous.
This is the best day you and the horses could have! More snow coming.
It truly was a gorgeous day among gorgeous days. π More snow coming … after rain! Beautiful days.
As you said, TJ – “Just…beauty.” I can’t add anything to that! And what a snapshot of everything Spring Creek Basin in that one photo. Wonderful.
I was really glad when they looked up from their grazing and gave me the opportunity of that image! π
Gorgeous, indeed! Nature at it’s best!
So true. π Glorious!
This is so beautiful TJ. FYI Itried AGAIN to reset my password for WordPress so I could comment directly and problems abound. Donβt know why I even tried!! So, Iβll just keep responding the way I have been!! We have had mountain lion visits two nights!!! No surprise as a herd of deer have been using a corridor for eternity that goes right by our duplex. Disconcerting so we donβt let our little doggies out until 8a.m. and not after six pm when it begins to darken. Have you heard from Mookie? love, Karen

Hi, Karen. I’m sorry you’re having problems with WordPress. … You DID comment directly here on the blog. π Amazing about your mountain lion visits. Do keep an eye on the pups – and on your surroundings!
I love that silence. Bear and I experienced it today punctuated only by the purring of Sandhill Cranes and the call of the two ravens. I didn’t want to come home.
Isn’t that amazing? It’s so rare to hear absolute silence – even out here – that it really makes you stop and *listen* and absorb the moment(s). I never want to come home, either. π
I really enjoy checking out your pics of the mustangs nearly every. Thanks! Any foals coming?
Thanks, Craig, for your kind comment! Yes, we have foals every year, though for personal reasons, I seldom post them.
