It’s interesting. A small herd of deer that got used to seeing me at a certain time of day decided it was all good and started looking for me and following me. That worried me because I loved them and didn’t want them to get habituated. But I came away from that with the idea that wild animals definitely pay attention to us and horses? Such intelligent beings? I hope some day to come across the mountains and see your horses for myself.

Oh, they definitely pay attention, though they’re much too independent-minded to follow me, which is good. π You’re welcome any time!
“And what are YOU doing here?”
She never seems too surprised to see me.
Good the horses are aware!
They’re always super aware!
Hello! What a great photo, TJ! A perfect mustang portrait.
I love the way they all line up. π
True, there there is recognition, curiousity and affection in that gaze.
She’s known me since she was born. π
Keeping an eye on you!
You bet she is. π
That’s true. “My” horse was always watching, watching me, watching for me, watching out for me.
I think some of them see me and think nothing of it. I think some others really are curious about why they’re always seeing me! π
