Happy birthday to my dad – a day late!

I had to schedule a few posts while gone from home, and I failed to take into account the *dates* of the days coming up (doh!). So slightly late but never forgotten, props to my dad, who is one of my main inspirations when it comes to horses. 🙂

He and my mom visited recently, with an uncle and cousin (on my mom’s side), and we all had a wonderful time together. The welcome rain made it hard to get out to see the mustangs, but we did spend time with horses!

It can’t be possible!

I was sitting on the edge of an arroyo, watching his band on the other side, and apparently,  in his way of walking along the edge to get to a place to go down and cross. He wasn’t too bothered … just took a quick detour!

Just knowing they’re there … that’s enough. We work hard to keep them there.

Young Kwana is a handsome boy!

A yearling colt from one band was playing with a stallion from another band when Kwana decided that he was being left out of the fun and trotted over to join the game.
