Many thanks to Hawaii and California – and Ma Nature – for the “pineapple express,” which flew all the way to Colorado’s Western Slope and delivered much-needed rain to Disappointment Valley.

Tenaz was so comfortable and drowsy in the afternoon sunshine that he never moved while I worked to align his handsome self with McKenna Peak and Temple Butte.
It’s a weird December so far – warm and dry, though we did get a tiny bit of rain last week. Snow would be extremely welcome!
Cute Killian! I was sitting on the ground down the hill from where the boys were napping. Sweet, beautiful, curious boy. He makes me smile. 🙂
In French: contre-jour – “against daylight.” I love shooting against the light. It produces something beautiful that conventional wisdom advises against.
I just learned this term; doesn’t it sound lovely in French? Chipeta is lovely in any language!
