During many visits to Spring Creek Basin, we see mustangs in the distance (at least initially) as “little white dots.” We have a lot of grey horses. 🙂
We also have a lot of brown in our views. Especially since it hasn’t rained in 487,329 days – give or take. 😦
That lovely snow we got was wonderful and welcome. … And we need more wet stuff. ANY wet stuff.

Hello, most beautiful. 🙂

For the nth time, Comanche has repelled a challenger to his band.

Not really the first snow in the region, but the first very locally.
To be truthful, the dusting of snow was on higher ridges above and beyond Spring Creek Basin, but it was very close. Even the La Sal Mountains had snow … until it melted under the day’s bright sunshine.
C’mon, moisture! You are needed!

Terra.
Near sunset.
Glorious.

Even though Tenaz was just featured, I couldn’t resist also sharing this view of the handsome boy! Sunset shadows had already enveloped him and his band, but the last light lingered at our horizon, where Temple Butte and McKenna Peak look more like a painted backdrop than actual geographic features of the land.

Chipeta is getting the fuzzies. Nights are chilly, but days are still short-sleeve warm.

Even smudged with dirt, casually browsing along with his band after sunset, Comanche shines, embodying our peaceful wild.

Two golden girls, enjoying a golden evening in a golden place on our big blue ball. 🙂
