As the day was clearing from five days of clouds and multiple waves of rain, I found Skywalker and his band mates up in the northwestern part of Spring Creek Basin above Spring Creek canyon. The horses were grazing, napping, moseying, napping, grazing from high near the rimrocks at the basin’s western boundary as they gradually made their way down to the canyon to drink at the arroyo. It’s so weird to see the greenup now, in mid-October, and it’s also super gratifying to see the benefits of all that rain!
🥰 Skywalker is still a gorgeous boy! And yes TJ – a green October. Very out of the box but I am relishing it. 😀 The mountains are beautuful; other than the glorious color change, it looks like spring!
