On the wander for evening water

15 03 2025

The temp dropped with the moisture Thursday night, and the wind didn’t relent, making the ponies’ still-fuzzy coats much appreciated, I’m sure. 🙂 This pond is one of two in the basin that currently have water, thank goodness.

Thank goodness for those remaining ponds! And I’m glad those clever mustangs don’t put away their winter coats too soon. Seems they always need them in March and on certain days in April. 🙂

We got the craziest snow this morning! NOT in the forecast! Ha. Usually, the forecast is wrong in telling us about moisture that never materializes. … This time, it wasn’t on the weather forecasters’ “radar” (so to speak), but snow, it did. 🙂 And then was slurped right into the thirsty soil as the sunshine made everything brilliant. Yum!

Us too, TJ. A little unpredicted skiff but we’ll take it! 😀

Once again those animals are smart enough to hang onto those coats 🙂

Oooh, and they were FLUFFY yesterday against the frigid wind. I was bundled and was still cold. The ponies took it all in stride. 🙂

Love those pintos! The horses know that spring is not here yet!

As always, they are much smarter and much more attuned than we are. 🙂 Thank goodness!
