Big muddy grateful

21 10 2024

La Sals beyond Disappointment Valley/Creek cottonwoods.

We had rain in the valley – to the tune of almost 0.80 inch total (way, way more than we got in all of September). To say I’m “grateful” is a vast, vast understatement. 🙂

Now THAT looks like autumn. 🙂

By the time I was out with Mariah and her band on Saturday, the snow was noticeably melting, and clouds were lowering over the peaks. Sunday had more rain and super sogginess, and if I could have seen the mountains for the heavy clouds, I bet they’d have shown pristine white caps again.

Yes, major-super gratitude. 🙂

I am so grateful for your wonderful pictures. As the world seems to become uglier, more dangerous, and more violent, these photos lift my heart each day.

I’m so glad – thank you so much for your kinds words. They made my day brighter already! 🙂 I do hope sharing the mustangs with folks brightens their days as it always does mine. I’m glad this blog can be a counter to all the world’s hate. Here, the message is LOVE.

Absolutely gorgeous pics, TJ! And – finally – it DOES look like autumn – beautiful golden- orange trees and snow on the high mountains. Mariah is the perfect icing on the cake. So glad you had the rain too; we are all infinitely thankful for a three-day soaker!

I bet the La Platas are looking pretty remarkable this morning, too! 🙂 It’s another bluebird day in Southwest Colorado (and southeastern Utah), and we have much to celebrate. 🙂 I bet the ponies are muuuuuuuddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
