Have I mentioned the grass?? It really is tremendous right now, and we’ve gotten another couple of little grass-watering events (aka rain) to help keep it lush.
Tenaz and the members of his extended family (there are quite a few between two bands and a bachelor pair) are gobbling it up while the days are still warm and the night temps are dipping into the 50s. Ooooh, I just love fall. And I love seeing the ponies – plump and shiny – with plenty to eat and plenty to drink. š
I always love to see handsome Tenaz…and even more handsome after all these days with “plenty to eat!” It IS amazingly green out there! Thank you rain.
Wait till you see it – I hope you and Denny DO see it! It’s beautiful (well, MORE beautiful!). š
I love to fall, too, and I’m happy to hear the ponies will get plenty to eat and drink. They deserve it!
Isn’t fall the best?! Great weather, great colors, great light, great air. … And the ponies, for sure, must love the fading of bugs and cooling of air. š Win, win!
Yup, I do agree with you on all the great things fall brings to us!
All seasons have their highlights … but, especially in Colorado, fall is the best. š
Fatting up for winter! Glad for all the grass and rain!
For sure! It’s a fall bounty in all the best ways! š
Water and food. They do well!
Indeed, they do. I hope they take advantage!
We had a week and then one day of hard rain. I swear the whole valley was going, “Huh????” And it’s cooled. I’m very happy all of our hoofed animals can go into fall with plenty to eat and drink.
Me, too. š It looks so good here now. Most of the bugs other than still some mosquitoes are gone – or at least many fewer.
Here the only bugs I’m seeing are mayflies, bees and dragonflies. ā¤ļø
Ah, yes – bees on the flowering rabbitbrush, and I’ve seen a couple of dragonflies. And a little butterfly that did NOT want its pic taken! Ha. š
this is wonderful to hear TJ. And mustangs will go into the winter in good shape!!š

They certainly will! š
