As spring continues to lag and spring and lag and backslide slightly (temps below freezing and ice on water!) and green is slowly greening, the predictable spring winds are keeping dust and haze in the air. We’re looking for a renewal of moisture. Maybe that’ll be on our dusty horizon by Monday and/or Tuesday.
P.S. As Kat Wilder reminded me this morning: Happy Earth Day! Celebrate something – or many things! – wild today!
Let spring really come. Let the grass grow.Pat
Grow, grow, grow, green, edible things!
Hoping for moisture to settle the dust, and spring to finally come!
We might have had a couple of drips in the early morning, so light, they might have been the tickling fingers of branches against windowpanes. … Monday/Tuesday are the days of rain chances, according to the fickle forecast. π
Very cold April so far! The only “normal” thing is the spring wind and a bit of green. The whole spring-coming thing is moving at the rate of cold molasses…but when it does come – and stay – it will be all the sweeter!
Crazy, right? And here, I thought we almost went straight to summer a couple of days back then (!). Ha. I forgot I was in Colorado. π Sweeter, yes!
I’m soon heading out into the chilly gray day with my grateful hairy dog.
