When you can be picky about your grazing spot, you know there’s some good grass growing!
Juniper hunts for juuuuuuust the right blades of monsoon-green grama and galleta grass.
At farthest left, the skeleton of the dead pinon is proof that our drought is never far from our thoughts or reality.
Mother nature sure pulled through this summer! Good nutrition for the horses and a big relief for TJ !
Enjoy π
A very big relief for TJ, who, as much as I try to be “in the moment” as the horses are, still looks ahead as a human … and worries. Mother Nature did good this summer, indeed. π
A bounty to choose from. Perfect. And so is Juniper!
She was thin for a while, and she is recovering nicely with this wonderful bounty. π
So glad for the green so the horses can be picky eaters!
It’s kinda funny to watch them hunt through the green for just the right spot. π
Juniper, would love to you watch you eat. I watched my horse when I was a kid!
So peaceful.
