Lady bay

Beautiful Madison in a field of “amber waves of grain” – or grasses, as is the case is in our Spring Creek Basin. Autumn colors of a subtle type. 🙂

Is she expecting? Not sure why I wondered – perhaps the stance of her legs? thought I’d ask, because, first thought when I saw the picture was, “Oh! Look at another beautiful mama to be…” and not even certain nor can tell ya why – except for….well…one thing that makes winter bearable for me is looking forward to the life that will arrive in Springtime… 😀

I don’t think so. 🙂 Just in good shape. The telephoto lens has a way of compressing a scene, which could contribute. Sometimes the stallions, too, will look pretty round in the belly … and sometimes, that’s just because they’re getting good groceries!

the look of ‘good groceries’ is always good to see!
