The wind kicked up across southwestern Colorado, but the mustangs never seem to mind. They can’t do a thing about it, and they don’t complain … as the humans do. π Because that wind saps moisture from ground and plants and skin.
Above, Maia enjoys the grazing in the last light of the day as clouds built in the west, bringing the potential for moisture.
Rain is good!
SO good! We got 0.19 inch, completely unlooked-for! Where was that in the forecast!? π
The wind WAS awful yesterday but those mustangs never seem to mind the weather challenges we endure in this high desert country. They just keep on keeping on with their mustang things!
They definitely live in the moment(s)! π
Very nice picture. Glad for the rain!
If it would fall with somewhat regular consistency (!), we’d sure be happy. π
Bear and I walked in the wind yesterday. We were very happy. We need rain, though. I just “tucked in” the flower beds. I had to water them and I felt guilty.
I hear ya. Not that I have a green thumb (I most definitely don’t), but all I “grow” are weeds! I don’t feel guilty about watering them. But I try to water my big and ancient silver poplar.
Silver poplars are so beautiful. I need to do better by the ash trees in front of my house.
The wind didn’t take away from such an amazing day among the wild ones. Thank you for our amazing tour, it did not disappoint!
You’re so welcome! I enjoyed spending the day with ya’ll and proving the delights of Disappointment Valley. π
Lovely all aroundπ
