I saw those “wisps” over your way and hoped they would multiply themselves and wring out some moisture while they were at it. Just a pipe dream, I know. Shadow looks so pretty against the blue!
The shades of blue contained within the Colorado sky during the day, over seasons, etc – well – – an artist could, I think, spend a lifetime trying to mix every gradation/mix of blue trying to capture it in one moment here and there!
I know, right? The sky here in Colorado has spoiled me for anywhere else. Everywhere I go, I look for this sky … but it’s just not the same. Maybe it’s a bias, but I don’t mind being Colorado-sky biased! 🙂
LOL – Yup – Out of all of it – the sky, here, in it’s ever changing hues and colors and gradations, but mainly – because I can look up and SEE so much of it! makes me ‘Colorado sky biased’ too! that said, my past generation relatives from the heavily wooded east – hate it – they feel ‘vulnerable’ under it – and me? when I visit back there? I feel clautrophobic and hemmed in and shut down – – So – again! Different strokes for different folks! I’ve met so many people who loved it here the first moment they visited – spent years to ‘move here’ and during the whole ‘Native’ campaign, felt they should ‘apologize’ – and yet, their description of their yearning and need to be here, deeply, included the sky – thus, I told them, “be respectful to your new neighborhood, but don’t ever let them get ya down or diss ya about not being a Native – you are – it just took you awhile to get here – – ” — LOL
Aptly named in this photo. In the meantime loving those blue blue skies.
Call me grumpy, but I’d love ’em more if more clouds showed up bearing rain. 😉
Let’s send Shadow out to find more clouds in the Basin.
She needs to get to work!

Yeah … but still, we hope! She’s a good girl for silhouettes against the blue. 🙂
Thank you Shadow💕
