It’s kind of amazing how not-cold it feels under the rays of the sun, even with snow on the ground and frosty air. So if Piedra seems a little sleepy, well, it was really nice napping weather.
Piedra is just like our critters – snoozing out there in the sun while surrounded by snow. They all know how to make the best use of their natural surroundings! Smarties.
Beautiful girl! Beautiful photo! So glad you got moisture.
Thanks, Puller. We are in desperate need of moisture … of any texture.
Good for her!
Piedra is a big fan of limiting her energy output. π
How pretty she is!
She really is. With her wise and beautiful eyes, I think she’s one of the prettiest mares in Spring Creek Basin. π
We (Indiana) finally got snow, too!
Excellent, Carol!

Smarties, indeed. π She knows how to make best use of what warmth there is!
How funny! Did it snow on her while she was sleeping?

No. π It was a bluebird Colorado winter day.
Love how a friend always stands guard while the other rests. Wonderful arrangement!

Several were napping at the time, and one youngster had made a nest in the snow, too sleepy to nap standing!
