It’s kind of amazing how not-cold it feels under the rays of the sun, even with snow on the ground and frosty air. So if Piedra seems a little sleepy, well, it was really nice napping weather.

She really is. With her wise and beautiful eyes, I think she’s one of the prettiest mares in Spring Creek Basin. 🙂

Several were napping at the time, and one youngster had made a nest in the snow, too sleepy to nap standing!
