This little critter is easier to see (well, kinda) – and standing nearly right over him/her, the lens is zoomed in as much as possible. S/he was TINY. About the size of the end of my finger, maybe. The only reason I saw it was because of the motion of it, scuttling around on those little baby legs. Fast! I got only three pix snapped, and only one – this one – was even slightly in focus.
It was lucky it did not get stepped on!what camouflage!
If it hadn’t been scuttling around, I certainly could have stepped on it. I’ve been watching the ground a little more carefully these days since my recent snake sighting! π
SQQQUUEEEEE!!! What a CUTE little dragon!
They’re totally little dragons!
What a cute little guy or gal!
Right?! π
β€ Cutie!
It seems weird to call a scaly, horned little lizard a “cutie” … but it totally is!
I saw one of those today out in the desert here. I have not seen one in years! The one I saw was pretty cooperative, I lucked out. They are so darn cute!
Ha – that’s what I thought, too – cute! I wanted to pick it up … then thought, “what am I thinking?!” I couldn’t have caught it if I’d tried – way too fast! Can’t believe you haven’t seen more of them?!
We’ve seen a few of those around too, TJ. They are so dang cute – like all babies! Great photo of this one.
Ha – I once saw a wildlife biologist pick one up and rub its belly. I can’t say for sure, but the darn thing seemed to enjoy it!
Talk about blending in!! My goodness, but this little one has the perfect disguise!! TJ, you never tire of the wonderment if your landscape. All your photos make me miss being there even more!! Thank you very much for sending them. Floyd and I miss yβall! love, Karen
