The symmetry here is wonderful – ears to the neck and even back to the tail! Love the dapples in shadow and those darkly gorgeous eyes! Hard to believe this is really Ty! Wow! 🙂

Hard believe that when I started documenting him as a young stallion, he was so deeply black, I *documented* him as black. He has changed quite a bit.

The tip abt the ears reminded me of something. I was photographing
horse portraits but had trouble getting their attentive look. The owner
of the ranch (ranch=5/6 acres) here) took out her cigarette pack and
removed the cellophane. Wrinkled it a bit till it “crackled” Every horse
near us was heads up with that look. My pictures improved greatly
Of course you don’t need it most of the time. Mustangs are always
attentive.
