This year, as every year, I am so thankful for the people in my life. For my family, above all, and for my friends who are like family.
I am grateful for one of the best years of my life and everything that came together that allows me to spend so much time with the mustangs that mean the world to me.
I am grateful for our Spring Creek Basin mustangs, these magical animals that make my heart sing every time I see them.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
Be grateful for all the joys in your lives!
Thanks TJ! Happy Thanksgiving to you too and thank you for sharing your beautiful wild horses with the rest of us.
Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, our protector of wild mustangs!
Thanks for what you do. Thanks for who you are. I hope to meet you out in a meadow one day, to see the horses, to make MY heart sing.
My rain/snow dance isn’t working. 😦
Happy Thanksgiving, TJ, and thank you so much for the beautiful pictures, and all the work you do for the horses.
Hey, TJ! I was sitting down to breakfast the other morning, preparing to read the featured article in my favorite mag, High Country News, and the writer is mentioning TJ Holmes… and I’m “What ?!! Huh!!?..my old mountainbiking compadre!” That is so cool to read about your passion for the mustangs. My wife and I spent a July 4th several years ago atop Beautiful Mountain on the rez (It is the flat topped mesa directly south, southwest of the Shiprock) and we were both astounded with the number of horses, AND their robust health up there. There are not very many families up there, I’m sure that at least some of them, if not most, were wild. It’s really nice to read of you in HCN, keep up the good work. I also have a blog, (albeit not as advanced as yours) at SkinwalkerYanking@blogspot.com. Pete Emery Take eet easy!
Hi, Pete! Glad the horses you saw were healthy – I’m not sure that’s always the case on the rez? I actually managed to do more mountain biking this year than the last few years. I rode Boggy Draw about once a week for a few weeks. Awesome. 🙂
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy day after Thanksgiving! Thanks to you for always keeping me informed and close in my mind to the herd. Can’t wait to get out there again soon!
