These photos are all beautiful, and I think it’s going to be a really touch choice. I’ll start voting tomorrow on the others, but for this one I vote Alegre.

I’m not gonna lie, looking through all of these actually made me cry, seeing all the faces of the ones that aren’t here anymore. The ones of the newborn babies, the stallions, and the other horses that were removed.

… I know … Me, too. I started out all enthusiastic (before I did any drafts) … and then I realized how hard it was seeing all the ones who are gone from the basin – and how hard it was going to be for you all. Most aren’t *gone* – they’re just in different places, and I think most of those are good places, even if not *home.*

One vote for Alegre – the “magic lighting” was definitely at work here… hope it wasn’t “helped” too much ’cause it didn’t really need it…

The photo of Kootenai and Mysterium should be included somewhere, either on the cover or in this month, it gets my vote. The last light of the day, the horses glowing as you get one last look at them before you have to leave them for the day…great photo.
