We had some big rain today off and on – flash flood worthy – and we are infinitely grateful!

That’s fantastic! We had one 25-minute rain (down here; I have it on good authority that it poured up-valley a couple of hours earlier) … and, after it *stopped*, an hour-and-a-half toad-gagger! Ha. Very soggy and humid this morning under abundant sunshine. Wonderful. π
Yes, that was just a little sliver of almost-sunset light on them. I was out after the rain and before the light and wasn’t even thinking we’d get a rainbow … and then that little pinkish pour appeared. It didn’t last long, but it was beautiful over the ponies! π
That was one of my BLM guys yesterday, up-valley before he stopped to talk to me – under sunshine and on a dry driveway. A couple of hours later … and that all changed. π I’m glad your valley got a soaking! Hope you have or had a good rain jacket!
I do — but poor Teddy doesn’t. He was traumatized…

Oh, no! By the rain? Thunder and lightning? There was a MAJOR and near-simultaneous lightning/thunder strike/bang a few days ago; scared the bejeezus out of me. Hope Teddy is recovered and still likes good, dry walks!
The rain — it was harsh. We barely walked 2 blocks rt. It was coming down at an angle, we had to walk straight into it. Judging from Teddy’s behavior all day, he felt he’d been punished. He’s not very big — doesn’t even come up to my knees. But I felt pretty punished, too, but not personally. That little guy wouldn’t even get into the car later.
Good morning Flash and Juniperπ

Ha. Those precious mustangs ARE “always the gold!” Beautiful rainbow prism in your photo, TJ. Very pretty.
Mother Nature’s just pointing the way to the gold. π We’re getting some more drips … looks promising to the southeast toward ya’ll!

Beautiful picture! The horses really stand out like they have a golden glow!

Teddy and I were out this morning and got soaked. That’s NEVER happened to me here in the SLV. No rainbows, either. Still, I’m glad.

Ohhhh … geez. Poor thing (and you). π¦ Hope his “punished” feeling doesn’t last long?!
He seems better today. I don’t know if he’ll get in the car, though. I don’t if I will, either! π€£
Ha – well, I hope it takes just a couple of days of coaxing before he’s back to his usual walk-wanting self! Hope the good outweighs that bad memory!
He’ll forget. π
