Double grey

Flash has just made the decision to continue down the hill to lead his band (including Juniper, behind him) to water in Spring Creek.

On these very hot days (the mercury reached at least 102F in Disappointment Valley recently), I’m so thankful that there’s water in Spring Creek Basin, and I’m even more thankful that the mustangs know where to find those sources!

Yikes, 100 degrees! Hope you are staying as cool as possible TJ or as cool as handsome Flash looks !

This has been the third straight day at 100 or more (Sunday hit 102). Not fun. Thankfully, rain is starting to show up in the forecast. … Let’s just hope it not only stays in the forecast but shows up from heavens to land!

I’m not surprised, TJ. Been 97 and 99 here the last couple of days so I figured you’d be topping 100! Those mustangs are so tough and resilient and smart; they know to stay near the “pool” and out of the direct sunlight – when possible. 🙂

You were 100 percent correct! This is at least our third day to top 100. Blistering.

Thank goodness there’s water. It is not a nice time to be outside. Flash definitely has a great mane and forelock!
