Pre-rainbow storm watching

Zowie America! That LIGHT!

The rainbow would start to form farther south/right not long after these pix were taken, as the storm was passing to the north (left) and dissipating. It never did grow to either blazing brilliance or a full arc. The left side was even more faint than the right side (which also was trying to double-arc), but if it had fully arc’d, it would have been HUGE.

No rain on us, but chances are better through Saturday?!

Amazing sky colors and light, TJ! And of course, amazing mustang too.

We had another tiny rain event yesterday afternoon (I can’t stop being amazed that the entire time it rained, the sun shined – hello, rainbow!), but the ground was dry or nearly dry by the time I went out immediately as it was stopping. In good news, I did find a pond with water yesterday!

We had a good rain yesterday – a nice steady soaker. Wish we could have shared a bit with you! But I’m glad a little something made it out there.

The light through the storm, highlighting various beloved features of the Spring Creek Basin/Disappointment Valley landscape was just awe-inspiring. The horses, of course, didn’t seem nearly as amazed as I was (they were mostly napping at the time). 🙂

Beautiful light! And, with a mustang, makes it even more beautiful!

Snow? We may have cooled down, but we’re not THAT cold! 🙂 We did get a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of graupel with one wave of moisture yesterday.
