Pretty Mariah a few evenings ago, napping with her band.
It’s a good thing the horses still have their winter coats because while we haven’t gotten any sticking snow, Thursday, some squall waves passed through the region that left the ground at least damp. Up on the southern ridges of Disappointment Valley, there was actual snow and at least a temporary inch to 3 (?) of the white stuff, despite the strong wind (we even had an advisory) that blew it sideways. It was wet stuff, though, and we’re always grateful for ANY wet stuff.
The evening I spent with Mariah was fairly still, which was pretty nice.
Guess we are “back” to winter – snowing & blowing. Had a few days of 40-50 and rain – than snow again. Today is cold!
Love to send some of this to you, TJ
We would sure accept it if we could! It’s basically spring here. 😦 I mean, I love spring and all, but it would have been nice to have had a winter.
Pretty gal! Her name goes well with the weather! Hoping for a lot more moisture of any kind!
We usually have lots of wind in the spring. … We’re having lots of wind now. Ha! Fingers crossed for rain/snow chances the end of this week!
Mariah is a beautiful girl all lit up by the winter sun! Glad you got some moisture, TJ. We had the sideways snow too with very little accumulation. We were hoping there was more in the higher country and from your report that seems to be the case! Like you said – ” we’re grateful for any wet stuff!”
I wish it would just snow for a day, nice soft, wet, sticking snow. I’ll even take the resulting mud. 🙂
I totally agree!
It’s been such an odd winter in so many ways, although it doesn’t seem to concern Mariah. I woke to a fluffy inch of snow but know that it won’t last. Every little bit helps I guess and glad that you got some of it.
Nope, not much ruffles the mustangs at all! Yay for your inch of snow. Every bit DOES help. … We just need a lot more help. 😉
