Seneca … so gorgeous in evening hues of light and bronze.

We got SNOW yesterday! LOTS and lots of snow. On top of lots of rainy mud. To say it’s *soggy* in Disappointment Valley right now is the hugest of huge understatements. ๐ Once again, I went into the basin to try to find ponies, but the snow was constant, and the visibility was extremely limited, so I returned without any snowy pony pix (or even pronghorns this time).
This moisture is extremely beneficial for our vegetation, the ponds and the water-storing catchments. After a long run of very warm and very dry weather, it’s nice to be in the mud again.
So glad you’re getting the snow and rain too, TJ! We are very, very, very muddy also – muddy and grateful. ๐ Seneca is so pretty in those bronzy colors. Beautiful photo.
We actually still have snow on the ground! I’m shocked because normally, it melts fast. The muddier, the merrier, I say. ๐ It doesn’t stop all the hunter people, already here “scouting.” The extra traffic already is annoying.
๐ “The muddier the merrier.” I love that. But don’t love the hunters. At least this session has been shortened to some extent. Even so, I imagine they will force the issue on those impassable roads and make a mess out there. ๐คจ
Too much snow here. I never thought I’d write that!
Ha – I hope I never will! ๐ Glad you got moisture.
So glad for the moisture, and another great picture
We’ll sure take what comes our way – all the time, every time. ๐
WOW! Gorgeous photo of a gorgeous horse!
