All the heat rising into our local atmosphere is finally starting to rouse some rain clouds over the region – very scattered and random.
Now we just need those clouds to drop some rain.
Above, Maiku might have been enjoying the temperature drop when the clouds built up and the wind picked up. After a high of about 99 degrees, I sure was!
Wonderful photo of Maiku, TJ! You caught all of his special and unique markings. He’s such a gorgeous guy! We’re having clouds…but no rain – just oppressive heat and wind. 😣 Hopefully we’ll get our turn at some moisture; at least there’s rain in the mountains.
Maiku makes a fabulous model. 🙂 We got a tiny sprinkle here yesterday, but fortunately the eastern part of the basin, from south to north – I’m not sure how much – got rain. Several lightning strikes, but rain also ran along the valley south ridges, so hopefully it drenched any spark-wannabe (I did drive up looking for smoke plumes!). Yes, the heat and wind … argh. I want the rain, NOT the sparks!
Love this pinto guy! Hoping for rain real soon!
Us, too. … Us, too! 🙂
