Post-eclipse

9 04 2024

Mysterium enjoys a breezy nap a few hours after the eclipse yesterday. Here in Southwest Colorado, we had mostly cloudy conditions (and we were well outside the path of totality) – with a beautiful full halo around the sun in the morning! I’m not sure whether that had to do with the eclipse or ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, but it was cool.

We didn’t get any moisture, but it might have been snowing over Utah’s La Sal Mountains at various times, and up-valley from Spring Creek Basin and in the higher elevations, it sure looked like it snowed later in the day.

Saw that halo too, TJ. Very cool! Like Mysterium – whose cool too and looking very gorgeous and relaxed after “the event.”

The horses I was with during the general time were napping. Totally peaceful – like always!

Durango had the ring around the sun as well, but no moisture either. Hoping there’s peace in the basin today ☮️

Other than the wind (ever present!), it was pretty peaceful yesterday. 🙂 Did you see the eclipse? Or clouds in Durango, too?

We had cloudy skies in lower MI. Did get almost dark for a while. Hope more moisture comes your way soon. Beautiful picture!

Wow – wild about the darkness, even through your cloudy skies! Sure hope we get some moisture, too. We’ll take it in any form! 🙂
