McKenna Peak (background) has gotten snow before this, but the main parts of the basin haven’t gotten (sticking) snow until now (yesterday). A lot of it has already melted its wet-snow goodness into the thirsty soil. Now cooooooolllllllldddddd temps the next few days.
The ponies are fuzzy and ready for winter!
Beautiful pic
Thanks, Peggy. Even more beautiful in person! π
Stark and beautiful

A reminder of our true size here on Earth. π
Oh so true!

What a great photo, TJ! I love the stark scenery with snow on McKenna and that single mustang punctuating the vast whiteness. Cool! We had the snow too, first good one of the season.
Very good about your snow, too! I’m hoping it’s a sign of things to come. π
What a cool perspective or should I say cooolllldddd ! So good to see snow there !
Ha – yes, a bit nippy here this morning (14F!). But beautiful sunshine the day after the snow (which is mostly gone below the ridges). π
So glad for the snow! Hoping for a lot more!
C’mon, snow! More in the forecast for next weekend. π
Perfect photo to represent COLD! π₯Ά So happy for the βοΈ
I saw only three bands yesterday and walked among two. … I decided to go with this photo because it DID seem to represent the cold and very snowy conditions! π We definitely need the moisture … though I’m happy enough at temps in the 20s (not teens)!
The San Juans scraped all the snow out of the clouds. We didn’t get any. Trying to put a good face on it. At least the dogs and I like the cold. π
Ah, that’s a bummer – unless you’re the mountains. Our three days of snow has dwindled to one day coming up. … But I remain ever hopeful! Yes, brrrrr! π
Yeah snow, YEAY horse in picture!
