Some mustangs have evolutionarily developed longer ears – the better to hear danger with – but Sundance’s little ears, poking through his thick mane and forelock, are decidedly foxy. One of his many endearing attributes!

Quite a mane! Good closeup!
I wish we could see more of his bright eye, but I love the pose as he’s looking at his band in a pause from grazing. 🙂
Every inch of this guy is just gorgeous…perfect…stunning…There are not enough words to adequately describe Sundance!
And not a vain bone in his body. 🙂 He lives to protect his little band. He’s a good, good guy.
Beautiful picture!
Thanks, Karen. 🙂
I love this approach with your camera to take a picture of Sundance from this angle. I think having ridden for years earlier in my life made me appreciate looking at the horse from the back, where I rode. I’ve always been fascinated with drawing those angles as well as from the front and side of course.
