Mostly, we’re in the mud now in Disappointment Valley. Up-valley still has good snow, but lower, ours has melted, and the warm-ish temps keep it thawed for all but the deepest parts of the early, early mornings.
Gaia-love is always a bright spot, even when she tries to “hide” unseen in a cluster of pinon-juniper. Her broad, bright blaze is a welcome “white spot” among the green (trees) and brown (landscape).
There will come a day – and not too far in the future if past experience holds – when we’ll be in the midst of ultra-dry … and wish we had some mud. π And so we carry on!
Very pretty girl! Hoping for a lot more moisture this year!
She’s a love. π And I hope we have a good moisture year this year, too! (Hoping is half the work, eh?!)
She is such a beauty with that signature, pretty blaze of hers. Sorry about your mud, TJ. Our moisture is still the solid variety but someday soon… And you’re right. We’ll take that mud over dusty dry!
I’ve known Gaia even longer than Winona (she’s older), and I love her, too. π Glad for your snow! Maybe another wave coming tonight/tomorrow?!
Looking good in the winter!
Beautifully fuzzy!

We’ve known her for a very long time, haven’t we? π
