The power of water, all in one image, illustrated by the lovely Terra!
Frozen water in the form of snow. Over eons and eons, it has fallen and settled on that boulder, and the freezing and thawing, thawing and freezing, has cracked it all the way through.

Not much of a mystery, really, but awe-inspiring.
Are you awed?
Me, too. π
Nature is amazing!
I hope I never get over my awe at the wonders of this ol’ planet. She is amazing, indeed. π
Very amazing and interesting!
Nature’s processes, in action. π
Not only great pictures to enjoy joy with early morning coffee, but history, geography, science, maybe some horse human psychology, always mixed in.
Thank you
I’ve always said that every kind of “ology” you want to study is on display here in Spring Creek Basin. It’s pretty awesome. π
That is one great rock…and one gorgeous mustang too! Rocks are full of stories aren’t they, TJ, a declaration of time and the never-ending march of natural processes.
Exactly so, and especially here in the West … and *especially* here on the Colorado Plateau. We’re lucky to live among the bones of the Earth!
Yes indeedβ₯οΈ Thank youβ₯οΈ
Thanks so much, Sherry!
Perfect composition ! Mother Nature always has her way- sometimes slow and steady! Love the mystery of water- life sustaining and colors our world π
Water is life! Endless variety – and patience. π I love the colors of our rocks … and the lichen on them.
Awed and odd… π
Ha! Indeed! π
