A telephoto lens compresses landscapes; these landforms aren’t nearly as close in reality as they appear to be in the above photo. … But it sure is dramatic, adding to a beautiful view of a little band in the late evening sunlight.

I was on the road above the dugout. The horses are on the first (westernmost) finger hill. In the middle background is what I call submarine ridge, and in the far background are ridges way yonder southeast of Spring Creek Basin. … Not so far. We’ll see you in the spring. 🙂

Ah, yes, that was a beautiful day with the mustangs at Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum. 🙂 And yes, we think Dolores’ library is amazing!!
