Temple on another peaceful evening.
Mostly, the days ARE peaceful, so much so that it’s sometimes hard to think of – or remember – other times, when wind howls or thunder booms or rain lashes or equine scuffles break out or human-made noise whines. The peaceful times are balm to the chaos of outer times and worlds far away from Spring Creek Basin. If I could take those times and spread them across the entirety of the world … that we all should feel that calm … how sweet would it be.
I completely agree, TJ Wish it could be!
Me, too. π
I wish for good, calm times for you and the horses!
Thank you! We have it … I wish we could share it tangibly.
I wish the whole world could find calm! This would make a great puzzle!
Ah, good point re: a puzzle! And I sure wish that for the world.
Dear lady, you and your horses so deserve the peace and calm. Your wish for the world is lovely and sad.
We *are* blessed, and I am grateful for that EVERY. DAY.
Yea, life in the wild, away from the hate and violence in the world, is the best place to be. I also, hope peace and truth prevail.
I very humbly agree.
I feel the same way out at the Refuge. I wish the people who do visit could see it but I’m not sure they can. I’ve realized over the past few years how much turmoil and confusion we carry with us, how we go into the natural world with all that AND some expectations. I don’t know how to avoid those things; maybe they are part of being human. It isn’t that nature is “kind” but it is itself and, I guess, we are, too. I don’t know but I think I know what you mean. I think these horses and other animals have less problem living in the moment than we do. π
Maybe people see it. … They’re out there, after all. π That’s a step! Re: expectations, when people visit, I tell them there are no rules … and that “Rule No. 1” is *no agenda*! π The horses definitely live in the moment. Not that we shouldn’t use our human skills to plan ahead, but sometimes it’s nice to just BE.
You do just that by sharing your reflections and photos. Thank you β£οΈ
Thank you, Sherry. π
“How sweet” indeed. But your photos come very close to a bottle of the real thing. Thank you, TJ.
I’m glad. π Thank YOU, Sue!
No photo, but your words are so true. Spread the peaceπ
