With greatest respect – and a wide smile – do I refer to Cassidy Rain as a “monster” for her mud-caked appearance. … To have mud to roll in is a great and wondrous thing! As is the rain we’ve finally gotten in quantities enough to assuredly measure.

Doing her whole body beauty treatment! So glad for the moisture!
We – which is to say part of Disappointment Valley and hopefully a fair stretch of Spring Creek Basin – got a DRENCHING! So awesome!
Nothing like a good mud bath! Hallelujah for the rain βοΈ
Huge hallelujah! π
That is wonderful. π€
You said it! π
Enough rain for mustangs to be mud babies – excellent! I’m so glad some of the moisture has made its way to you, TJ.
Me, too. π … Me. Too!
So great to have rsin.
So wonderfully, relievingly, excellently great. π
it does my heart so much good to hear your reports of rain and to see pictures of mud-drenched horses. It eases some deep seated, almost unacknowledged ‘anxiety’ within me, much as it does when i hear the rain pelting down at my house, and see reams of water streaming off my roof onto growing beds… and peace enters my being, where I wasn’t really aware, I had be in a state of tension and ‘waiting while holding my breath’ – β€
It does my heart and brain very good to get this (though it was a little nerve-wracking to see it come so much at once)!
Yeah, if I was out and about in landscape full of flash flood areas that I wasn’t certain of ‘um…how flash floody???” I would be too! My uncle lost his little gas efficient, VW bug to ‘drive back and forth to work’ vehicle and barely escaped with his life! a flash flood that roared in as he was driving home one night – funny, but I can drive that same road, today and though a culvert was put in? terraces and dams on private property, around that area? Much of those measures have ‘declined from lack of upkeep/understanding of their purpose” and, should such rains as yesterday show up often and frequently, or last long? That same damn stretch of road will become a death trap for any trusting traveler that doesn’t know it’s history – but hey! I’m ‘told’ with climate change, I don’t have to ‘be gloom and doom’ nor should I question those in my area who are ‘the next generation’ of experts….sigh – whatevs –
Wonderful insect repellent!!ππ

And itchy, I imagine, as it starts to flake off. π
