Over it

The wind. It exhausts us.

It hasn’t been too terrible lately (the gnats can attest), but it’s also *not* bringing the rain we so desperately need.

😦 I only hit the ‘like’ button, to indicate I read, I hear ya! We are ‘told’ we’ll get rain here this afternoon and all day tomorrow – we shall see – – wind gust are also forecasted – those? I’m 99.999% sure they will show up – makes me wonder if I should waste the time relighting the pilot light that went out last Sunday during gusts – 😀

Why is it the forecasts are always right on about the wind … not so much with the rain, eh? Ha … !?

I dunno, EXCEPT for, what I and many others, used to say, in Eastern Colorado, manning 24/7 restaurants, when roads closed for blizzard conditions….
“when will the roads be open?”
“When the wind quits blowing, so they can plow them open and make gains”
“When does the wind quit blowing?”
“When it does…..” 😀 😀 😀 😀

Wind this year has been horrible. Normally I kind of like it because it keeps the bugs away but this year it’s been excessive. We’re getting thunderstorms and tiny bits of rain but it has greened up the hinterland somewhat. I hope you get some!!

Yes, I agree with the wind on principle as being a bug deterrent (the gnats will devour you if you stand still long enough!), but … as you wrote, excessive. I hope you get some more tiny bits of rain that altogether add up to what you need … and us, too!

I’m liking the windswept ‘do – mustangs can even make wind “look good.” I too am thoroughly weary of all this endless blowing; like we need that in the super-drought! Supposed to be rain tomorrow – I’ll believe it when I see it.

I am hoping and wishing and crossing fingers and toes and trying to jig in the dust. Ha. 🙂 I’m also getting weary of the forecasts that amount to nothing for us. …
