I know, right!?!!?!?
Tenaz seems to be reflecting surprise at the change in conditions in Spring Creek Basin. π We seem to have gotten anywhere between 6.5 inches and 8.5 inches, though it was wonderfully wet snow and melting even as it was falling throughout the day (the whole day!).
More is on tap for today. We are overjoyed!
Thank you all for dancing and praying and wishing and hoping and sending your good snow thoughts!! And if you’re in a place that needs moisture (looking at you, California), snow wishes for you, too!
Hallelujah!! π
I’m dancing a joyful dance! π
How wonderful!! We are so happy for you and the Mustangs! Blessed snowβοΈππ

Hope you’re also getting snow at the edge of the mountains!
Wonderful! Hop you get a lot more!
It snowed for several hours again today! π There’s some great snow out there!
It worked! We have snowβοΈβοΈβοΈ!!!
Yayayayayayay!
Isn’t this absolutely wonderful, TJ! We had 6 inches yesterday morning and snow keeps on falling periodically – melting and snowing. Just such a blessing! When I looked out the window first thing yesterday, I’m sure my expression was much like Tenaz’s – say what?!
Ha! π Better late than never, and this has been a nice snowfall, indeed! I think we have at least 6 inches of snow. It’s wonderful!
we got snow, too! But ours was wrapped in bitter cold – I have a few icicles starting to form, midday – from the roof, before the next wave of brrr….cold….showed up again – and so far? Only about 2″ here, but we are supposed to get up to 4″ over a three day span of bitter cold and fronts moving through – happy to see your inches that fell and melted into the ground!
Our snow came with temps in the 30s, so not too bad. The ground was warm and dry, so there’s been some melting. Our frigid temps start to come in the morning and the next few days! Stay warm!
Beautiful thoughts and pictures. Does anyone know if there are wild horses in the Carson south of Hopewell?
I don’t know where Hopewell (NM?) is, but Jicarilla Wild Horse Territory is part of the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico. Find out more: https://www.jicarillamustangs.org/ and https://www.fs.fed.us/wild-horse-burro/territories/Jicarilla.shtml
Jumping up and down!
Dance, dance, dance! π
So good to see the snow! π
SO good! It’s been a whirlwind of activity here, for sure. π
