Blue and brown and grey – for now

8 01 2022

The mud you can’t see is sloppy, sloppy, sloppy! We’ve had temps at/near/above 50 degrees the last few days. The snow is melting steadily into the ground, which is a welcome infusion of moisture.

Do we need more snow? Yep. Is more on the way? Yep! So says the forecast, anyway, and a forecast of snow (and/or rain) is a forecast of optimism. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hoping that forecast is accurate – 30% chance…which here often translates into something close to 0. Still holding out hope though, especially for the ponies!

It just started snowing! I don’t think it can stick unless it gets a lot colder (a few days of 50-plus degrees and super soggy ground), but I sure love to see it snow. ๐Ÿ™‚

We got a ‘wet snow’ here yesterday – it was BEAUTIFUL to BEHOLD!!! not alot of inches, BUT, it was much wetter than the first two skiffs of dry snow we got – though it all melts into the parched ground, here, readily – when the temps warm up! โค โค

That’s what we need – nice wet snow to cover the ground and seep in!
