Rain on the horizon

6 10 2021

We’re ready for some of those storm-dark skies again! Chipeta may not look excited about the rain (this pic is from about a week ago), but I just *know* she was looking forward to the rain! As we are, again, now. 🙂

Another little drizzle in the night. Only 0.06 inch, but we’ll take all that we can get!

We wondered if you had rain last night along with us. Good to hear you did! More green for the ponies. Rain AND snow Friday and Saturday! 😄

I was waiting for rain last night but never heard it. … Some forecast for today … and maybe Monday and Tuesday now? We’ll take it!

Ahh…The Gathering Storm! LOVE IT! I especially loved that I couldn’t see any purple or green in the skies of the shot captured – or ‘caught in the moment’ swirls of air currents – – green, purple, swirls? Sigh…..I’m waiting for the twisters to arrive and the Finger of God to pick and choose….. STILL and mostly likely? Ever more!

We get “tornadoes” in the form of dry dust devils. 🙂 Fortunately, they’re short-lived and not very destructive (though I did once find a flat shed roof completely flipped over on the ground behind the shed!).

YES!!! We had a couple of days of it and back to “same as it ever was” but maybe next week.

Ugh – that’s always the story, isn’t it? Wonderful, relieving rain … and before you know, back to *dry*. Then we wait and worry … until the next little drizzle … and then we dance again (before *and* after the rain – why not??!). 🙂

We’re getting freezing — legit freezing — temps next week with the chance of snow. I think my LGD and I will just sit outside in it and let it cover us up. What a relief it will be if it comes.
