Same area, different day (as Mariah in the post yesterday): Skywalker heads to the water trough for a satisfying drink of cool, clear rainwater collected by the basin’s main water catchment, built more than 20 years ago!

Thank goodness for people who have cared for the horses and the land of Spring Creejk Basin! I love that Skywalker!
It’s a great legacy. 🙂 Skywalker the magnificent!
He is such a looker! 😍 How grateful we are for those water catchments – new and old, and how grateful we are too that there has been moisture to “catch” this summer!
For sure. … And not to be greedy, but c’mon, Mother Nature – how ’bout some more rain??
So glad the horses have access to water.
Whew! Me, too!
So beautiful. I drove through there on my way here from CA when I retired from teaching and was able to move home (CO). I saw the mustangs (yours? others?) in the distance and my heart leapt a little bit. I’m glad they have water. ❤
Spring Creek Basin definitely is off the even lightly-beaten path! If you’re back in the area, I’ll give you the grand tour. 🙂 They do always make my heart leap!
That would be awesome!
I love horses. One of my best friends was a horse. Not a wild mustang, just an elderly, little, painted quarter horse who belonged to my next-door neighbor and shared my fence. I’ve had many good friends in my life, but none like him.
